Keith McLennan was born in 1918. He was educated at Scotch
College, Hawthorn ( Vic.) from 1924 to 1934. In 1935 he joined
the National Bank of Australasia Ltd. (now the National Australia
Bank Ltd.) In 1979 he retired from the bank after serving as a
branch manager for 18 years. Keith also served in the A.I.F.
(Royal Corps of Signals) both in Australia and overseas from 1941
to 1945. Married to Evelyn in 1945, they have two sons and five
grand daughters. Keith is keen on sport, particularly rowing, golf
and bowls. He is a life member of the Yarrawonga Rowing Club
and a 60 year member of the Melbourne Cricket Club. He is a very
enthusiastic gardener and also a life member of the Lilydale
Garden Club. Keith was foundation vice president of the Probus
Club of Lilydale, President in1984-5 and elected a life member in
1992. The research for this history was commenced in 1998 and
the writing was completed in 2000. This is his first book.
