                           The  162  general meeting of the Club on 11   December 1997 at the Atheneum
                   Theatre was a very special event, organized by Secretary George Sank. Thirty-nine
                   members, 29 ladies and 9 visitors attended. It was a re-enactment of the first
                                                           nd
                   (Inauguration) meeting of the Club on 2    June 1983. Standing orders were suspended
                                              th
                   until our next meeting on 8  January 1998 on the motion of George Sank, seconded by
                   Clive Winnett. President Fred introduced Past Rotary President, Colin Dean, who
                   detailed Rotary’s formative work in establishing the Lilydale Probus Club. Colin then
                   welcomed and   re-installed foundation President, Stan Moser, who introduced and re-
                   installed his foundation Team. The Foundation team took over the meeting and re-
                   enacted what went on 15 years previously. Only one of the original office bearers, Albert
                   Aird, who was foundation Treasurer, was not there. As has been recorded in Chapter 14,

                   he died on 8  August 1995.
                          Foundation President, Stan Moser, took the chair with the gavel and collar. Keith
                   McLennan, Foundation Vice President, supported him. Bob Shellard, who resigned on
                     th
                   13  April 1995, returned from Benalla to act as Secretary. Lex Lillie, who took over from
                                                                    th
                   Bob Shellard when he resigned as Secretary on 6    October 1983, acted as Treasurer in
                   Albert Aird’s place. Bill Warren was the only remaining committee member.
