\u2022\u00a0A guest speaker who will speak for approximately 45 mins on their topic.<\/span>
\n\u2022\u00a0The presentation is followed by a short question time.<\/span>
\n\u2022\u00a0Topics are diverse and targeted to appeal to a mature age group and their interests.<\/span>
\n\u2022 After the meeting some members partake a luncheon at a nearby venue.\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Group Activities.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Visits to local attractions, e.g. art gallery, winery, theater, gardens etc.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\u2022 Venue costs are kept at levels we feel will not preclude members from not attending because of cost.
\n<\/span>\u2022 Each month is a different activity and venue.<\/span>
\n\u2022\u00a0Activity could include some personal physical involvement: such as, mini-golf, walking, lawn bowls.<\/span>\u00a0
\n\u2022 We are mindful that venues we visit do cater for disabled access.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
\n \u2022 Past activities\/visits include:<\/span>\u00a0Eureka Sky Deck, MCG, Hellenic Museum, Melbourne Cemetery, China Town, Jewish Holocaust Centre, Polly Woodside, Dame Nellie Melba\u2019s home, Morning melodies and many more. Ramblers – Interesting, varied and exciting walks are arranged, that take into consideration the fitness and ability of the members.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Ramblers.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0A local walk between 2 to 5 kilometers on well-defined walking paths.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>\u2022\u00a0 Walks take into consideration the fitness and ability of the members<\/span>\u00a0.
\n\u2022 More often than not, the walk is concluded with refreshments at a local eatery.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Great opportunity to exercise, explore nature and have fun with friends.

Probus Pals has been a regular feature of the Probus Club of Lilydale since May 2010.\u00a0<\/span>This creates an opportunity for our ladies to gather together for a casual social outing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Each outing is arranged by a different hostess who selects the time, date and venue for either morning or afternoon tea.\u00a0 <\/span>Outings are well advertised in our Newsletter.\u00a0<\/span>We use a monthly roster, which works very well.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Probus Pals plays a most successful part in the life of our Club. \u00a0 <\/span>It provides a great opportunity for our ladies to relax and get to know each other a little better.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you to our hostesses who keep this tradition alive.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Probus Mates.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Monthly, the men meet as “Probus Mates” to enjoy a meal, a drink, and a talk at a hotel.<\/span><\/strong>
\n \u2022 The aim is to have a good yarn.<\/span>
\n \u2022 It is great time out and a pleasant few hours spent with members.<\/span>
\n \u2022 Dates and venues are announced at the monthly general meeting.<\/span>

Annual Car Trip<\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Annually the club selects a \u201ctourist park\u201d.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Within a reasonable drive from Lilydale and reserve bookings for a week stay.<\/span>
\n \u2022 Members book motel rooms, cabins or caravan sites for those days.<\/span>
\n \u2022 Or a group booking is arranged.<\/span>
\n \u2022 Visits to tourist attractions are arranged, with activities within the tourist park to make it\u00a0 \u201cfun-filled\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
