Welcome to The Probus Club of Lilydale

 President 2025/2026

Karen Kearney

Welcome to our new President Karen Kearney.

The future of our Club is assured for another year. Karen has shown enthusiasm and committment to lead our Club forward this year and I am sure all members will give her their full support in helping our Club grow by attending our Meetings, Probus Pals, Probus Mates, outings and events.

Welcome back to our hard working Committee who have graciously volunteered for another year. And, of course, a very big thank you to our retiring President Dave Tasker who has done a great job this last year. His smiling face and ability to make us laugh has been a very welcoming addition to the year.

2025 – the year of great friendships, much laughter and good fun!! Newsletter Ed.

 PRESIDENT KAREN’S MESSAGE

Hi everyone.

It was great to have our special guests, Aaron Violi, MP Casey, Bridget Vallence, MP Evelyn, Mayor Jim Child, O’Shannassy Ward Councillor Yarra Ranges Council, and Jason Doran Manager Bendigo Bank Croydon at our 2025 Annual General Meeting.

What a great time we had at our AGM, thanks to Len’s great idea to have a “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party”. Fantastic hats, great costumes, an exotic array of teas served in cup and saucer sets fit for the Queen – Queen of Hearts that is! Well done to those who won prizes. The best AGM I’ve attended, and I’ve attended a few.

My aim this year is to be more! More fun, more activities, more members, more great speakers, more rambles, more trips, more fun morning teas, more getting to know each other.

DO YOU GET THE IDEA THAT I WANT MORE?

If you want something more let the Committee know and we will try to fit more into our calendar.

Looking forward to a great year.

Karen Kearney
